Episode #73 Matt Gillin: An Incredible Philadelphia Entrepreneur

I am so excited to share my conversation with Matt Gillin — an accomplished Philadelphia entrepreneur who shares stories of building companies and the gritty life lessons that come with it. Matt grew up just outside Philadelphia as one of nine siblings and continues to reside in Philadelphia with his wife Lisa and 2 boys. Fun fact: I’ve had several of his family members on the podcast, including his mom (Martie Gillin), uncle (Euse Wolfington), and cousins (Euse Mita & Patrice Meagher). All of these interviews were inspiring in their own ways — I added links in the show notes, so definitely check them out if you have a minute.  Matt began his entrepreneurial journey by co‑founding Ecount, an electronic‑payments company acquired by Citigroup in 2007 for $200M. Renamed Citi Prepaid Services, the business became a global prepaid solution provider, issuing billions in payments for thousands of corporate clients across multiple countries. He later co-founded Relay Network with Paul Raden and his brother Steve Gillin – Relay Network is  a customer‑experience platform designed to maximize engagement, education, and profitability.   Matt holds three U.S. patents and is a multiple award‑winning executive, including Ernst & Young (Entrepreneur of the Year). Please enjoy!
